This week we will be doing a series of relay races. The goal is to bring out the advantages of working with others to achieve common goals. From 217 the area code to 2run7 the cool gear to 2fast7 the workout! This week we will be doing another Fartlek style workout running 2 minutes moderate tempo + 1 minute hard (times 7). We will meet Wednesday night at Washington Park playground at 6pm. After stretching and warmup we will break into groups of similar speed and start the workout. The workout portion is 21 minutes. Looks like Wednesday will be another great night for speed. This time we will be combining our speed with core work. So, the plan is to meet at Washington Park by the playground at 6pm. We will do our normal static and dynamic stretching. Then we will break up into smaller groups of similar levels. Next the group will do a short warmup run of up to a mile. Then for the speedy portion each group will do iterations of 4 minutes Indian running and 1 minute of core. Group memb
I see the light! This week we will return to an old favorite workout “the light pole run”. We will meet Wednesday at Washington Park at the playground at 6pm. After stretching and warmup we will run the 2 mile loop accelerating for every other light around the park. Weather looks good so hopefully we will have a bigger crowd. See ya soon!
