Get the 411 on Soft Surface


This Wednesday we will be running from Lincoln Memorial Gardens @ 6pm to take advantage of the soft surface and shade provided there. Training "off road" is a great way to strengthen without the pounding impact of roads. Besides reduced pounding trails offer strengthening of ankles and knees you can't get from smooth surfaces. So, the workout will be 4-1-1. In iterations of whatever total distance works for you run 4 minutes easy, 1 minute tempo, and 1 minute hard. This is a great workout to practice methods for "changing gears". We will warm-up and stretch as usual. Looking forward to seeing you all there.


By the way: I got arrested at the Farmer's Market last weekend. I was disturbing the peas!
