With limited participation and my busy high school coaching schedule I have decided to stop the Speed Group for this year. I feel very fortunate that we were able to successfully hold a few months of workouts despite the challenges facing all of us. I appreciate the enthusiasm each runner brought to speed workouts and the camaraderie that you showed. We have such a great community of runners in Springfield and the best part is the caring that you show each other.
Please continue to make speed a part of your training. To achieve the best possible results every training plan should include speed days (and long run days, short run days, recovery days, and days off!) Stay safe!

P.S. I tried a new item on the menu at my favorite restaurant, a pelican burger. It was very good but the bill was enormous.
