SRRC hosts races, group runs, trainings and club socials for members throughout the year. Check out the calendar for all events.
Club socials are a great chance for club members to get together for purposes other than running! Sometimes a run is included --but always optional. Registration for socials will be listed once they are open.
October Social:
This year the SRRC will be participating as a walking group in The Parent Place’s fun-filled, family friendly, 8th Annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, OCTOBER 25th in downtown Springfield (organized by and benefiting The Parent Place, presented by HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital)! Parade starts at 6:30!
*Halloween costumes are highly encouraged as well (but not required) - more details to come on meeting time and place.
WHEN/WHERE TO MEET: Saturday, October 25th in the Horace Mann parking lot (204 N. 7th St), no later than 5:15 pm!
WHAT TO WEAR: costumes, your blinky lights, Noxgear, and please bring a bag for candy (SRRC will provide the candy) to pass out along the parade route.
WHO: All are welcome to join us! Club members, family, friends, co-workers, etc.
*The parade starts at 6:30 pm, and the route is downtown Springfield on 5th and 6th Streets. Hope to see you there!
November Social:
Save the date for our Annual Cold Duck run!
Thanksgiving Morning, November 27th at 8:00 AM.
December Social:
This year's Medal Mixer will be on 12/11/25 at Casey's Pub.
Pick your ugliest sweater, your shiniest medal, and bring a toy for Toys for Tots.
January Social:
Our annual banquet is scheduled for 1/17/26. It's time to start celebrating our upcoming 50 year SRRC Anniversary.
2026 Destination Race:
Saturday, 5/2/26. The Indianapolis Mini Marathon and 5K. We will celebrate their 50th year! This is a race that sells out, so we encourage early registration. Join our team (Springfield Road Runners Club) when you register.
