The Springfield Road Runners Club was founded in 1977 in order to promote running in Springfield and surrounding areas.  The SRRC hosts five races each year including the Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon (Apr), Womens Distance Festival (Jul), State Fair Parade Run (Aug), Abe's Amble (Aug), and the Frostbite Festival (Dec).

Along with the races, there are training groups so you never have to run alone if you don't want to!  The Halfwits, Abe's Army, FrostToes, track speedwork and member coordinated groups runs happen throughout the year.  The club also hosts several socials each year, including the annual banquet, which are free or low-cost to members.
