February 2019 - Club News Briefs

Wow! What a great night of celebration we had at the annual banquet. Thank you all who attended. If you couldn't attend, we hope to see you on the roads soon! We'll have a year-end recap in the FootTrails newsletter coming out soon, including the banquet and all the award winners. What's going on with the club this month:

The Class of 20 19 Scholarship - the new scholarship form is out on the website for Class of 2019. Please share with any runners who are graduating this year. Note that the deadline for applications is earlier this year, March 15, 2019. This earlier process will allow the recipients to be recognized during their graduation ceremonies for the scholarship. Spread the word!

Group Runs

HALFWITS!!!!! - Yay! Halfwits is back! Whether you plan to run the Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon or not, Halfwits is a great way to get together with your running friends. Distances can be customized to your training level in most cases. But for those of you planning to run the half, you will get fully prepared with this group! We also have some in-stock inventory if you missed your chance to order a hoodie, tank top, car magnet or decal. Head on over to the club store and shop! Items purchased online will be dropped off at the Springfield Running Center for pickup. We love seeing our "team" jerseys all over town! Proceeds will help promote running in central Illinois!
