The race season is done for many of us, and some runners are moving into recovery mode. One of the most powerful quotes in the book, "Let Your Mind Run" by Deena Kastor, is: “There is no such thing as overtraining, just underresting”. Deena's running coach, Joe Vigal, pointed this out to her. He had studied some of the greatest runners in the world to come to this conclusion. Don't forget to rest, and let your body heal!
Here's what's going on with SRRC:

Annual Banquet and Awards (01/26/2019) Mark your calendars for the annual banquet! From the member survey feedback, we're trying something new for this year. There will be more time for socializing with each other and no guest speaker. Yes, we'll still need to do the membership meeting and annual awards, but we'll keep those as brief as possible. The board is always looking for volunteers to help with club programs in a variety of time commitments to fit busy schedules. If you have enjoyed your club membership, we ask you consider giving back by helping out with the behind-the-scenes work that board members, race directors, program leaders and volunteers do to make our club the best it can be! Please consider volunteering some time in 2019, and contact Nick Fogleman at sn95nik@gmail.com for more information on what would best suit your skills and interests!
