50K Throw Down coming back for 2020!
Thank you to all the club members who participated in the inaugural 50K Throw Down! We got such great feedback, so we're bringing it back again in 2020! It's not a one-and-done award. You can do it again!
The rules are simple:
(#1) Be a club member BEFORE the first race, the Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon on April 4, 2020. The website is www.srrc.net/join if you haven't renewed yet.
(#2) Complete a club race of each distance in 2019: 2 miles, 10K, 10 miles, and half marathon.
What do we mean by "club" race? The SRRC hosts FIVE races every year. While we have many other races on our race schedule, these are the races that are completely operated by our running club:
Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon (April 4)
Women's Distance Festival 2 miler (July 11)
State Fair Parade Run 2 miler (August 13)
Abe's Amble 10K (August 23)
Frostbite Festival 10 miler (December 6)
Women can do either or both two milers. When these races are done, you will have completed 50K of SRRC racing and get a SWEET finisher's medal for your efforts! You do not need to sign up...we'll be watching you.
Make sure you renew your membership before that first race! See you at the starting line!
